The NBA Horse Challenge was created by the owners and general managers to be held at NBA practice facilities, which helps promote and raise awareness of horse-related issues. It was developed in association with the Kentucky Horse Institute (KKI), in partnership with the American Society of Equine Practitioners, American Society for Ethical Horsemanship, and others.
What happened when the horses won and fell on the horse in the challenge?
The owners and general managers were so pleased with the performance of the horses that they awarded them a $500 prize to help support the Kentucky Horse Institute Foundation’s mission and goals to strengthen equine health and well-being. All five horse winners were named Kentucky All-Stars and won an additional $200 prize.
What do the horses wear to make the challenge?
These all-blue horses also carried the KKI Blue Ribbon Foundation t-shirt. They received the annual KKI Blue Ribbon Horse awards from the general managers and coaches of their respective teams to help encourage them to help promote horses.
