For me it’s almost an obsession.

Have you ever thought that you’ll write a rap album?

No, and what I say to myself is ‘I have no desire to rap.’ It’s not even in my mind. That was kind of funny [Laughs]. But now that I’m older, I feel like this is my passion. I’m happy to be doing what I’m doing now, and maybe in a couple more years, I’ll rap again because I don’t want to go back to that.

Have you learned any other skills besides rhyme?

I’ve learned a lot about being a professional athlete. I get up to the gym at noon, I work out till 2 o’clock and then I go home and that’s my routine.

Have you changed anything about your music since you started rhyming? Have you tried any new tricks?

Not really, I just want to stay away from bad rhyme, it’s the worst. At least for me it is. Not for everyone though.

What is something that you have learned or developed over time that you wish you had known when you started rapping?

That I’m an athlete. If I got to be an Olympian, that would be cool, but at the end of the day, I want this to be my legacy. But if I want my friends to see my name on their albums, I have something I’ll never forget, it’s my name that I remember.

What are some of your favourite rhymes and rhymes that come to mind when rhyming?

“What was that last rap before I said that?… Yeah that was the last rap!…”

Do you plan to do more to improve your rhyming skills and improve your style?

That was really an accident, I actually started writing a couple years ago, and then I stopped because it was hard… but I’ll learn new things.

As a rapper, do you have a favourite song or any tracks that you want your fans to hear?

M-A-V-E, “Boom Boom Boom” is a song from the last album [Paparazzi Records 2nd album: Ghetto Ghetto]. Also a song, “I Got Me On The Phone” by Sippin Dose.
