Answer: Donald Trump. Yes, that is his name. He is the most infamous ventriloquist in the world. That’s according to the ventriloquist’s club and, according to some experts, it’s also the most successful.
As of Sunday, Donald Trump is the most-celebrated ventriloquist at the club, with 951 people having attended at least one event with the candidate this campaign. No other candidate comes close. His average time spent in the booth is 10 minutes, according to the group.
That’s less than half the time that the candidate spent at all of his other events in the campaign, which average more than two hours.
Among the candidates who participated in Trump’s events, his best numbers were in Florida, followed by Texas, Missouri, Arizona, Missouri, Michigan and Ohio. His worst performance was on July 25, when he didn’t make his first appearance for a week.
Trump has called out his competitors in past interviews, and often boasts about how great he is at the job, saying “You’ll never be able to get away with doing anything I would do.”
During an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes on June 16, about his first debate performance, Trump said, “I got my 10 minutes, if you want the number: I did my best.” (RELATED: Donald Trump Refuses To Answer Questions About Debate Record)

Asked about the GOP primary debate stage, the candidate told Stephanopolous, “I hate the field. I hate watching, and I’m sorry, they don’t seem to be doing a good job, and they shouldn’t — it’s horrible. And so the Republicans should just get out there and have a good show.”
And on July 13, Trump was asked on Fox News if he would not be able to “play along” and perform the role of a ventriloquist. While responding, he said, “I would like to. I would LOVE to be able to play along. But the people want it done by my side.”
