As for the cops, yes I think graffiti is easily seen. You can get caught in the act even if you’re in the shadows on a dark street. However, as I’ve said, the cops have been around these parts for years and don’t have a “fence”. If cops are patrolling the streets or they have made a decision of what they think might be best to watch out for, then why not use those techniques? Plus, if you have been on the job for a while, you are familiar with the types of cars people often make, even if they don’t show them on the street.

What other things should we know about graffiti and how does the police deal with it?

Graffiti is one of the best forms of communication. The art world is going through a moment in its growth when a new wave is taking root. It is very exciting and challenging for everyone involved. We, as a society, have had one of the most successful revolutions of all time. We can be extremely generous and encourage people to use it for that reason. However, it takes a very careful, methodical management system to keep it at that level.

Mental disorders affect nearly one in ten Americans, yet few clinicians have been trained about treatment options. In spite of these shortcomings, mental disorders remain a serious public health problem.

To get ahead in treating disorders, students at the University of Wisconsin have partnered with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide medical training for clinicians in crisis.

“We need more students to become certified to serve the mental health needs in our health care system,” said Dr. Peter Riepe, MD, a UW professor of psychiatry and director of the Wisconsin Multipurpose Center on Mental Disorders and Related Disorders. He is one of the faculty steering teams that wrote the grant for the project.

The UW team, led by Dr. John Krause, MD (PhD, UW), the James T. Murphy, PhD, of the UW College of Medicine, and a team from the UW Center for Addiction Medicine, teamed up with two veterans in the National Center for Veterans Studies and two veterans from the National Center for Veterans Affairs.

The training, funded by the Veterans Affairs Health Care System, will provide clinicians with skills to help treat both acute and chronic mental disorders including
