So I have had my friend’s best friend for 5 years now. For 4 months we have known each other. From the first time I met him, he has never failed to make me laugh. He has always found new ways to make me laugh. He loves to dance and has become very skilled at choreography with the girls. He has a beautiful wife. She has to get to work and does not have many hours to herself. Sometimes she does leave her job and has to babysit her children with me. These are just some of the stories he tells me about his wife. I think we are very different people.

But we are very very different people. My friend always made me laugh. He always made me smile. But recently he has been taking more and more of the laughs from me. He seems to like a different way of talking to me. He wants to ask me for money. He will often tell me that his wife is a prostitute. At first I thought this was just a joke, but when I thought about it a little more I realized that he really really loves me.

We only started talking about the prostitution part just this week. We have known each other since high school. I am only 17 years old. He is 26.

I was just in my home town this weekend for work. He was there for almost four weeks. On Sunday I went to pick him up to meet my friend and her daughter for dinner. He was still sitting on the couch with his head back as usual. My friend came up to me halfway through. She asked me if I would join her and her daughter for dinner sometime tonight. This made me uncomfortable. We are on opposite sides of the country. I said ok and we left. As soon as we got to my house it was the most awkward interaction I have ever had. He was not only wearing a black suit and tie and black shoes (very expensive) but I was wearing a pink floral printed shirt and a pink flower on my head.

As usual, he did not seem to notice that I was nervous. This was my first time out to dinner or a movie.
