The new year will usher in a huge year for film studios, with many tentpoles, including a major tentpole from Warner Bros., beginning to come together.
The studio plans to release 20 films in 2016, with the biggest slate — and possibly the year’s biggest movie — in the hands of the studio which has a history of releasing the biggest film in the year, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the studio’s biggest new IP since The Amazing Spider-Man, and one of the best films in its lineup, the Warner Brothers tentpole, Wonder Woman.
As the year begins, here are 20 films poised to make their debuts in 2016:
Captain America: Civil War (Captain America: Civil War), Marvel Studios
At the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, a new world order was established in the aftermath of the Avengers’ defeat in the Avengers: Infinity War event.
