On the night of 24 July 1992, when the crash of the stock market was at its worst, the two largest-volume trading platforms in the world were a single trading platform. The total volume of trading on NYSE Euronext was 11 million shares. The total volume of volume on Bitstamp was $2 billion. So you could say that $2 billion of Bitstamp trade was on the most expensive stock of all time: Bitcoin.
